How to Remove Popups and Prevent Gamma from Disabling Links on Websites?

Is there anyway to remove these popups? Or prevent Gamma from disabling my links on websites?

Hi Jonathan, yeah unfortunately we’ve had to take this precaution because a lot of people were using Gamma to scam people. It’s a little bit of a blunt instrument right now, and there’s probably room to improve the logic. We’re not widely saying this, but I’m pretty sure if you publish to a custom domain the warning goes away? cc James F.

Thanks Nikolas P. I’m a plus (not pro) subscriber though, so publishing to a custom domain is not an option available to me at the moment

Nik is correct. It’s a function of the risk level of the link, if we deem that a link is safe the warning does not appear, but if it’s suspicious at all we serve the warning. If it’s determined so risky to be malicious we will remove it and not display it at all. Unfortunately there’s nothing we can directly do to override that.

Ah, that’s a pity… I was hoping to use Gamma as a sitebuilder, but ended up subscribing to Carrd instead. I get why you have to take precautions, though. Hopefully there’ll be a more flexible solution in the future!

I actually ran into limitations with Carrd too 😅 So I’m back here exploring if upgrading to Pro + using a custom domain might be the best path forward…
