Troubleshooting Beacons Integration with Gamma Buttons

Hello everyone, some of my colleagues use Beacons sites for their products. They've tried to link beacons to buttons on their Gamma sites and have been having issues with the buttons working. Has anyone else experienced issues with Beacons and Gamma?

Hi Rosie! 🤔 that sounds like maybe our malicious link scanner is flagging some beacons links as suspicious. Without specific examples it'd be hard to say for sure. If you're using a Pro subscription custom domain that should not be an issue.

Otherwise I'd be curious about what "having issues with the buttons working" means exactly

That's exactly what happened. They said their Beacons links were getting flagged for suspicious.

Yeah, so if that were to happen to a free gamma.site URL, unfortunately there's nothing we can do to override that.

So, if they were using Gamma Pro plan, they could avoid that issue in the future? Am I understanding your initial response correctly? Just trying to figure out how to advise them.

If they are using a custom domain (only available on Pro). We need to block suspicious links when being served from gamma.site to protect the domain as a whole, but if it's your custom domain we allow it

a free domain-less Gamma site is served as example.gamma.site
