Theme question: Our company has a standard Theme for presentations — is it possible to add a standard Page Setup (header/footer/logo/page numbers) to a Theme? We’re getting a similar look with typefaces, colors, etc. (yay!) but some have page numbers, some have dates, some have a label that has the presentation title on it. And some have nothing! (boo!) Suggestions?
And on a related topic, is it possible to have a page label in that Page Setup that automatically picks up the headline on the title slide? So if one rewrites the title slide headline, it automatically updates the label in the Page Setup?
no themes don't have headers/footers. if you put tin Ideas & Requests it will get added to canny though. i've wanted this (esp by doc type) as it's easy to forget to add it every time you create a gamma presentation or doc
Thanks Rick. I have a design for workspace default headers/footers per artifact, but I don’t know if we’ll have the bandwidth to prioritize it. Two alternatives we have at the moment:
Custom workspace templates + remix works well for consistent content (eg. you create many of the same/smilar thing)
Our API is getting header/footer support, so if you build decks that way you could always specify it in the prompt
A way to automatically inherit the title is a great idea! A few other things in that vein that I want to explore eventually:
Current year variable
Year created variable
Chapters/sections names (that automatically inherit the title of each)
Will add this into Canny—for when I pick this up again
Great. Thanks for answering (& hopefully!) getting it done
