How I Delivered an Impromptu n8n Subworkflows Session at the Ghana Meetup Using Gamma

Quick story from the n8n Ghana meetup this past Saturday that really stuck with me. During one of the demos, I was showing how we used a Gotenberg server with n8n to generate a PDF. That led to several audience questions about subworkflows, even though subworkflows were not originally part of the agenda. As an n8n Ambassador, people naturally expect me to be able to speak confidently about n8n topics when they come up. I could tell the room really wanted to understand the concept, especially how they could reuse smaller workflows inside larger automations, so I knew I needed to meet the moment. Since the session was wrapping up, I sent everyone on a 10-minute break. During the break, I opened Gamma, typed in a short prompt on n8n subworkflows, attached a few notes I already had, and within seconds had a clean presentation ready. I downloaded it as a PowerPoint, opened it in Presenter View, and when the group came back, I announced that we were adding a 15-minute bonus session on n8n subworkflows. I had not practiced the slides, but I knew the material, so I was able to teach it naturally. From the audience’s perspective, you would never have known it was created during the break. At the end of the 15-minute bonus session, the audience applauded. Big lesson for me: when the room shows you what they are hungry to learn, follow the energy.
