I still see most people who only do a foundational AI training using Copilot used as a glorified search engine. For the bigger tasks they get inconsistent results and are unsure how to use AI beyond the easy stuff.
Although foundational training gets a whole org to "I can see where AI might help." It doesn't get anyone to "I can figure it out."
I wrote up what I think the allocation should actually look like for building internal capability with AI: what stays in-house, what you hire out, and what I think is reasonable skills for an "advanced" internal AI operator without a tech team behind them.
