How to Enable Edit Mode for Anonymous Users on Gamma API Presentation URLs

I have a question about one of the new features on the Gamma API. I have generated a presentation externalAccess set to edit. However, when I go to the URL in incognito mode, I only have view access. Is there a special URL format to send the anonymous user to the presentation in edit mode versus view mode? I looked through the docs, but did not find any additional info. Thanks!

Great question Ben. I believe users need to have a Gamma account to be able to edit, so even if externalAccess is set to edit, the user needs to have a Gamma account (which in your case, we're not able to detect while you're in incognito).

Ah, so that might actually not work for our use case as having our users need to create a Gamma account in order to make any changes would be a lot of friction for the user flow we're envisioning. Is there any way that we could authenticate them, or provide an access token in the URL?

Hey Ben, apols for the delay. Enabling anonymous editing is going to require some dedicated eng effort and so for now the plan is to revisit this work after we launch the API publicly. We're trying to get a very robust set of *generation* related capabilities out the door first since that's been our top requested area for API. So realistically, we're not able to tackle any editing related work before Sept, but I'll let you know if that changes.
