Announcing Beta Launch of Our New Generate API with Expanded Features and Language Support
@here Hi everyone 👋, I'm excited to announce that we're rolling out our API to Beta starting today. As our trusted Alpha users, you're the first to get access to the new and improved Generate API. What's new?
📝 New formats: You can now generate documents and socials in a variety of sizes via the API.
🌎 Language support: Generate your gamma in 60+ languages.
🎆 Image and GIF support: You can now pull images from a variety of sources including the latest AI models, the web, Pictographic, and Unsplash. You can pull GIFs from Giphy. Finally, you can generate gammas with image placeholders or without images altogether.
🔐 Additionally, you will soon be able to generate and manage your own API keys via the Gamma app. (See screenshot.)

We will be deprecating the current endpoint (api.gamma.app/public-api/v0.1/generations) in 30 days. Please change your integration by then.
For the beta, we are opening up API access to Gamma Pro users for 50 generations/month limits on API usage. However, as Alpha users, you will continue to get the 100 generations/day during the beta period, but once we go GA, this will likely change to allow more flexible usage and billing.
Starting mid-next week, we will be opening up this API channel so that anyone can join and use it as a way to troubleshoot and share feedback. We will have new community guidelines in place to encourage a productive environment.
What's on the horizon? We recognize this launch geared more toward developers. To help our non-technical users get the most out of our API, we're aiming to release a public integration with automation tools soon! And finally... A lot more is in the works — thank you for your partnership so far!
