How to Fetch and Optimize Accent Images in Presentations Using the API

Hi everyone - i'm also looking to optimise accent images in presentations - is there any way to fetch / upload accent images via the API? I'm thinking to do something like re-process / crunch or optimise the acccent images we use for faster presentation generation - does anyone know how gamma deals with that?
