I guess more ideas on how connectors work? Are they similar to widgets we can embed into our platform vs building out a similar workflow with an api? Mapping out several 'modules' for different uses cases on our platform using the api keys, so curious to.learn more about available 'connectors' if those could be better

Well all MCP are built on rest, so technically your doing the same exact thing. (Also a dev who builds MCPs etc) When you layer you just mean another application?
