Hi Gamma team - I'm the Head of Product Design at Felix Pago. I just signed up for an Ultra account to evaluate Gamma's ability to match our design system and visual identity. I'm looking for theming controls beyond what I've found the app and am wondering if the API integration is what I need. Is there anyone that I can connect with for a demo and walkthrough of the capabilities?
Hey Kyle! Welcome to Gamma. The API is exactly where the deeper brand control lives -- good instinct. Here's what it can do for a design-system-focused team: Custom Themes Build a custom theme in the app (your colors, fonts, logo), then pass that themeId to any API generation. Every output locks to your visual identity. You also get programmatic header/footer control -- place your logo (top-left), a "Confidential" tag (bottom-right), page numbers (bottom-center), etc. across all cards in one request. Generate Endpoint This is the core of the API. You send text (a topic, an outline, or full content) and get back a branded Gamma. The controls that matter for design consistency: - themeId -- locks to your brand - tone and audience -- e.g. "professional, confident" for partner decks vs. "friendly, accessible" for onboarding flows - imageOptions.source -- choose AI-generated, commercially licensed stock, theme-matched accent images, or no images - imageOptions.style -- describe the visual style you want (e.g. "clean flat illustration, fintech palette") - format -- presentation, document, webpage, or social - dimensions -- 16:9, 4:3, A4, letter, 1:1, 9:16 - exportAs -- auto-export to PDF, PPTX, or PNG on completion You also control sharing inline: set workspace access, external link permissions, or email directly to specific people with view/comment/edit -- all in the same call. Template Endpoint This is probably the bigger unlock for your use case. You design a template Gamma in the app -- get the layout, card structure, and styling exactly how your design system requires. Then the API generates new content into that template's structure. The layout stays fixed, only the content changes. So if Felix Pago has a standard pitch deck or client report format, you build it once and the API produces consistent variations from different prompts. What it doesn't do (yet) No editing existing Gammas via API -- the workflow is generate, review in the app, then export. No webhooks either, so you poll for completion. Full docs: https://developers.gamma.app A couple questions: 1. How many people on your team would be creating content? 2. Are you integrating the API into an internal tool, or is it more about your design team using the app with API for extra control? 3. What does your design system stack look like -- Figma tokens, brand guidelines, specific typefaces? For a live walkthrough with the team: https://gamma.app/contact-sales
Hey Max! thanks for the detailed response. I've submitted my information through the link you provided. To answer your questions:
unsure. quite a few across EPD and BD/Corp Dev, I presume.
unsure, I've been thinking about creating an internal tool, but wanted to see what was possible without doing so.
We have a nascent design system we've been developing for the last month. Still a lot of wood to chop, but has everything you mentioned.
Do you have examples of decks created with the template endpoint? Would love to see the extra level of fidelity that's available.
Hey Kyle! Glad the sales form went through -- the team will reach out for the live walkthrough. On examples: the fastest way to evaluate template fidelity is to try it yourself. Takes about 5 minutes and you'll learn more than any screenshot deck I could share. Browse the template gallery here: https://gamma.app/templates Pick one closest to what Felix Pago would use -- pitch deck, client report, one-pager, etc. -- and generate a version with your own content. That's exactly what the template endpoint reproduces programmatically: same structure, same card layouts, your content swapped in. When you're ready to try it via the API, this page walks you through how to grab the template ID and set up your first call: https://developers.gamma.app/docs/create-from-template-parameters-explained Once you've seen how a stock template behaves, the next step is building your own template Gamma with Felix Pago's brand -- your fonts, colors, card layouts, logo placement. Apply your custom theme, and every API call against that template produces output matching your design system without anyone on the team thinking about it. Re: the internal tool question -- a lot of teams start exactly where you are. They experiment with the API directly, realize the template + theme combo handles 80% of their brand consistency needs, and then decide whether wrapping it in an internal tool is worth the build. You might find the app + API is enough without building anything custom. Give it a spin and let me know what you think of the output. Happy to dig into template design once you've seen how the mechanics work.
I want to set this up for Blink!
