Did you know that in present mode we show this blue progress bar which shows which slide you are on but is also clickable and shows a thumbnail on hover. One of my favorite simple features that we have. Hope that is helpful! If you have other ideas please let us know.

Hey, thanks for bringing this up. This is currently a limitation of our generator functionality but we are working to make this better very soon. The new charts have a lot of options for styling, annotating, and customizing their look and feel which we still need to teach the generator about so it can control those things. One thing that could be helpful is to know which options you care the most about? You mentioned grid lines and cross axis, but are there any others that are important to you?
