Hey brother, I wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means. But from what I can tell it's going to be all in your prompts. If you want it to keep the first slide in the template and the last slide intact, you better tell it. If slides 3-5 are for this type of content, you better tell it. You get the idea.
If it were me I would prompt it and tell it that anything in brackets is to be considered a placeholder and to replace it with the appropriate content provided.
for example.. if this was in your template.
[Presentation Title]
[Presentation Subtitle]
then in your prompt... be explicit.
Presentation Title: "Ryan's Rad Presentation"
