Using Multiple Image Models in Gamma via API: Is It Possible?

haven't tried this, but curious if it is possible to use multiple image models in a gamma via api - if I wanted to use Gemini 3 for one image but not for the entire deck

i change on the slide or image I want to generate and just choose another model there. you cannot choose more than one model at the settings or theme level. That is my experience.

Hey Doug! 👋 Unfortunately the API only takes one imageOptions.model per generation, so you're stuck with the same model across the whole deck. If you really need mixed models, you could generate with "noImages" or "placeholder" and then hop into the deck to regenerate specific images with whatever model you want. A bit manual but gets you there. This would be a great one to throw on Canny - mixing models for different visual styles in one deck is a cool use case: https://gamma.canny.io What are you working on that needs the mix?

nothing yet, but when I saw some of the images of the charts made with Gemini 3 I could see that fitting in. for mass production of individual presentations to provide consumers its likely too many credits, but I'll definitely use it for materials we provide to wide audiences.
